Dueling Darling Divas - Dueling w/ Cute and Cuddly! ;)

How exciting!  It's been a month since the Dueling Darling Divas and Dazzlers had a friendly little duel with some cardstock, paper and a dollop of ice cream cuteness!  And we are back today with another friendly duel - our August kits!

This month's theme:  Cute and Cuddly!

Our hostess for this month's adventure is Joan (affectionally known as Ms. earlgrey in the SCS swap world!) and sent the Divas the most adorable kit to work with!   I jumped for joy opening up this envelope and seeing this Penny Black little boy image along with my very favorite color combination of greens and browns - lucky, lucky!  She sent us the images,  3 sheets of recycle paper and some ribbons, brads, buttons, hardware .... I truly wanted to use it all!  I used the solid tan and argyle print dsp for the backdrop, ran the green sheet thru my cuttlebug with a matching argyle folder so it would match, used the fabulous jade green ric-rac (ohhhh how did she know how much I adore ric-rac!!), the buttons and matching green embroidery thread to make it stand out more.  There is also a sentiment that goes with this but I couldn't fit it on anywhere (just the inside!) and it reads "wish you were near".  Sooooo sweet!  For some reason, my pc screen colors are off and it looks like his shirt is the same color as the plane?!  It's not, lol!

Now hop on over and see what the Divas have created!

And then follow the link to see what the Dazzlers made with their Cute and Cuddly stamp!
Begin HERE!

Thanks for stopping by - I'll be back later on with my FBD post but I have to get a few hours of sleep!
I'm seeing double (triple) as it is .......
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.

Hugs 'n Blessings!
~Kelly

  1. Oh, this is so sweet, love the little puppy snuggled up to him. I like the colors so "little boy" like. No eye shade for the puppy so he can sleep? :)

What a fun kit to receive -- I can see why you'd be eager to use it, and how fun is it that you all share kits each month? what a blessing to have a group of friends that you can share your love of crafting with like that!
